What's happening in ProStriker — updates, features and tournaments.

ProStriker lands on itch.io — and launches on Product Hunt

ProStriker now has its own page on itch.io, the home of indie games — with screenshots, a description and a direct link to play. If you have an itch account, a rating or a comment there helps other players find the game.

And on September 27 we're launching on Product Hunt! Drop by, follow the page and tell us what you think — the maker will be in the comments all day, answering questions about the game, the bot and the Friday tournaments.

Android app on its way to Google Play

ProStriker is coming to Google Play as a native Android app. This week we completed the developer verification and registered the app's signing certificate — the formal steps Google now requires from every Android publisher. The app itself has been running for weeks in field tests: it is the same game as the web version, with the same account, ranking and tournaments.

Until the listing goes live, nothing changes for players: the browser version at prostriker.online remains the primary way to play and installs as an app (PWA) on any phone with one tap.

Invite a friend with a single link

Setting up a private match is now one tap: create a room and press the share button. Your friend gets a link that opens the game with the room code already filled in — no typing, no explaining. It works everywhere the game runs: browser, PWA and the Android build.

Private rooms are free and count towards the ranking just like queue matches — with a fair-play cap: only the first three matches a day between the same pair are rated. Perfect for serious duels and for teaching the game alike.

The game guide is live in four languages

We published a full guide to paper soccer — the rules explained step by step, opening and endgame strategy, how the ELO ranking is calculated, a short history of the game and a chapter on playing online. All five chapters are available in English, Polish, German and Spanish.

Start with the rules if you're new, or jump straight to strategy if you already know why a bounce can win or lose a game.

ProStriker 0.4: premium accounts, smarter matchmaking and a new icon

Version 0.4 bundles a week of intense work: player accounts now sync across devices, you can name your own team, and signing in works natively in the app. Matchmaking got a 30-second countdown and calls in a bot when no human opponent shows up, so you always get a game.

The optional premium subscription also debuted — it supports the project's server costs and unlocks cosmetic extras. Nothing that affects gameplay is, or ever will be, behind a paywall.
